Xiaomi has listed 6 devices which will be excluded from future firmware updates. The company has, thus, released MIUI Global Beta 7.1.1 as the last beta version for these devices. These smartphones include Mi 2/2S, Mi 4i, Redmi Note 4G, Redmi 2, Redmi 2 Prime, and the Mi Note.
The company has, however, promised that all these devices will receive MIUI 9 as the final stable update, which has already begun rolling out in phases. Since MIUI 9 currently runs on Android Nougat, the announcement means that the mentioned smartphones will not get a taste of Android Oreo.
